Heather Harrison, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker with several years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Before entering clinical practice, Heather volunteered for five years with the Suicide Prevention Hotline, where she developed strong skills in crisis intervention, risk assessment, and active listening. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Highlands University and has since worked with clients ranging from four years old through adulthood across a wide variety of clinical needs.
Heather’s clinical experience includes mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and addiction treatment. She has also worked extensively with individuals with autism and other neurological or developmental differences. Heather provides individual and family therapy and values a collaborative, strengths-based approach that empowers clients to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
Originally from Connecticut, Heather has called New Mexico home for the past 15 years. She is a proud mother who enjoys hiking, camping, staying active outdoors, exploring culture and food, traveling, and nurturing her passion for music.
